Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of this website and any estimate or work you get from Premier Milford Concrete, a concrete contractor in Milford, CT. If you browse the site, call us, send the contact form or hire our crew, you agree to these terms.
If you have a signed estimate or written agreement with us for a job, that document controls wherever it differs from this page. Please read both before work starts so nothing surprises you later.
What services we offer
We do concrete work for homes and properties in Milford and the cities around it, including driveways, patios, walkways, steps, garage floors, foundations, footings, retaining walls and related work. You can see the full list on our home page and read more about our company on our About page.
Each job's scope is the work written in your estimate or agreement. If you want something added or changed once we've started, we'll tell you how it affects the price and schedule and get your OK before we do it.
Estimates and pricing
We give free on-site estimates, and asking for one doesn't obligate you to anything. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure that day, so it reflects the size of the job, the condition of the ground, access for trucks and equipment, removal of old concrete and the finish you choose.
Some conditions only show up once the old slab is out or the digging starts, like soft or wet soil under the slab, buried debris, roots or old footings. If we find something that changes the work, we stop, show you, and agree on any added cost with you before we go on.
Unless your estimate says otherwise, it's good for a limited time, because material prices and our schedule change. Ask us to confirm the price if some time has passed.
Scheduling, weather and cancellation
We'll give you a start date and an expected length for the job, but concrete depends on weather. We won't pour into heavy rain, freezing temperatures or conditions that would weaken the surface, so we may move a pour date and will tell you as soon as we know.
New concrete needs time to cure, meaning the wait while it hardens and gains strength, before you walk or drive on it. We'll tell you how long to stay off your new slab, and damage from using it early isn't covered by us.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us at (475) 549-2244 as early as you can. If we've already ordered materials, scheduled a pour or done work, you may owe for those costs as your agreement sets out.
Payment terms
Your estimate or agreement lists any deposit, when payments are due and the ways you can pay. Final payment is due when the work in your agreement is done, unless we've agreed in writing to something different.
If a payment is late, we may pause further work until the account is current, and we may charge collection costs the law allows. If you're having trouble with a payment, call us before it's due and we'll talk it through.
Your property, access and approvals
You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area and to tell us about anything buried or hidden that you know of, like sprinkler lines, drains, septic parts or private wiring. Public utilities are marked before digging, but private lines usually aren't, so we aren't responsible for damage to lines nobody told us about.
Trucks and equipment can leave marks on lawns and soft ground near the work area. We work to keep that to a minimum and clean up when we're done, but some lawn repair may be on you unless your agreement says otherwise.
If your job needs a permit, a homeowners association approval or other sign-off, your agreement will say who is responsible for getting it.
What concrete can and can't promise
We're fully licensed and insured, and our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. Any specific warranty on a job is the one written in your agreement, and it replaces all other warranties, written or implied, to the extent the law allows.
Concrete is a natural material, so some things are normal and aren't defects. Small hairline cracks can happen even on a well-built slab, which is why we cut control joints, grooves that give cracks a planned place to form. Color, texture and finish can also vary from section to section and from any sample or photo.
We're not responsible for problems caused by things outside our work, such as ground movement, freezing and thawing, drainage changes made after the job, de-icing salts, heavy vehicles the slab wasn't built for, or using the concrete before it has cured.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, like lost use of your driveway or property, beyond what the law requires.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that Connecticut law says can't be waived.
Using this website
The information on this site is general and meant to help you understand concrete work. It isn't a quote or a promise about your job, and your own estimate is what counts.
Photos, text and other content on this site belong to Premier Milford Concrete and can't be copied for commercial use without our permission. Links to outside sites are there for your convenience, and we aren't responsible for what those sites say or do.
How we handle disagreements
If something about your job isn't right, call us first, because most problems get fixed fastest by walking the job together. We'll look at the issue and tell you plainly what we can do.
If we can't settle it between us, either side may take the matter to a court with authority in Connecticut. Each side pays its own costs unless a court or the law says otherwise.
Which state's law applies
These terms and any work we do are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to rules that would apply another state's law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version on this page is the one that applies to new visits and new estimates. Changes don't alter a written agreement you've already signed with us unless we both agree in writing.
Questions about these terms
If anything here isn't clear, call us at (475) 549-2244 or reach us through our contact page. We reply within one business day and are glad to explain how these terms apply to your job.
